I did not start going to church with any interest until I was in my early thirties after my wife (Sandy) became involved and was baptized. I was baptized in fall of 1994 at 31. I had a radical life changing encounter with Jesus at a Promise Keepers Event (men’s event) in Charlotte, NC in the spring of 1996. After that event I became very involved in church. As my involvement grew, I answered the Lord’s call on my heart to vocational ministry. My vocational background is varied, but all of my jobs have been working with people.

I began my ministry at Springwood Baptist as the Interim Pastor in August of 2021. On July 1, 2022 I began serving as the permanent Pastor after it became very clear to Sandy and I, this is where the Lord wanted us to be. In addition to being the Pastor here, I also work in a middle school primarily with seventh graders.

My wife Sandy and I have been married for over 40 years and have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and now 1 great grandchild.

Outside of church, I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, fishing and spending time my family.
