November 15th - Joint Thanksgiving Service with Andrew Chapel

For many years now, it has been a tradition that the congregations of Springwood Baptist Church and Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church come together around Thanksgiving for a joint worship service. The location alternates each year between churches with the visiting Pastor bringing the message and usually both choirs bringing a song or two. Pastors Mike Anderson (Springwood) and Morris Bennett (Andrew Chapel) share these responsibilities. Please join us this year on Sunday November 15th at 7 pm at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church for this special joint worship.

November 22nd - Church Family Thanksgiving Meal

Something special happens when people gather around a table and share a meal together. At Springwood Baptist, we value these times of fellowship and food! Every year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving we share such a time. We want to invite you to join with us for our Annual Thanksgiving Meal. On Sunday November 22nd we will have a pot-luck style meal immediately following worship to celebrate Thanksgiving and all that the Lord has blessed us with. The church provides chicken and drinks. We ask participants bring a couple of side dishes (dessert) to share. We would love for you to join us!

December 24th - Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

On Christmas Eve of every year, we gather as a community to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus. During this special service we read from the scriptures, sing songs of praise, celebrate the Lord’s Supper and end with a candle lighting. This special service reminds us of the lengths that God is willing to go too in order that we might spend eternity with Him! We hope you will join us December 24th at 5.30 pm for this special service.
