Feeding Friends Golf Tournament
The Feeding Friends Golf Tournament is an annual spring tournament held at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club. The tournament benefits two local ministries working to help meet the needs of people in our community: the Wheatland Lutheran Garden of Grace and the Springwood Baptist Church Food Pantry.
Played in a Captain’s Choice format, the Feeding Friends Golf Tournament brings together golfers, businesses, churches, and community members for a day of fellowship and fun while helping provide food for those experiencing food insecurity. The tournament also helps raise awareness of the needs in our community and highlights the local ministries and resources available to help those in need.
Garden of Grace
The Garden of Grace, a ministry of Wheatland Lutheran Church, began in 2015 with a vision of providing fresh, quality vegetables to people in need. Today, the Garden of Grace provides fresh produce to eleven food pantry distribution centers, including the Springwood Baptist Church Food Pantry.
The dream and vision of the Garden of Grace is to grow enough fresh, quality produce to supply all eleven food pantries throughout the growing season. All proceeds designated for Wheatland Lutheran Church from the Feeding Friends Golf Tournament go directly back into the Garden of Grace ministry.
Springwood Baptist Food Pantry
The Springwood Baptist Church Food Pantry is committed to helping provide food for individuals and families in our community who are experiencing food insecurity.
All proceeds designated for the Springwood Baptist Food Pantry go directly toward helping meet the food needs of people in our community.
